Introduction  

Hi, my friend, welcome to visit my blog =D
I am doing my business research individual assignment, the franchise that I choose is Starbucks outlet located at JUSCO Wangsa Maju .

First of all let me introduce the background of Starbucks for you all =D 

 

The story of Starbucks 

Starbucks purchases and roasts high-quality whole bean coffees and sells them along with fresh, rich-brewed, Italian style espresso beverages, a variety of pastries and confections, and coffee-related accessories and equipment - primarily through its company-operated retail stores.

In addition  Starbucks sells whole bean coffees through a specialty sales group and supermarkets. Additionally, Starbucks produces and sells bottled Frappuccino® coffee drink and a line of premium ice creams through its joint venture partnerships and offers a line of innovative premium teas produced by its wholly owned subsidiary, Tazo Tea Company. The Company's objective is to establish Starbucks as the most recognized and respected brand in the world.

To achieve this goal, the Company plans to continue to rapidly expand its retail operations, grow its specialty sales and other operations, and selectively pursue opportunities to leverage the Starbucks brand through the introduction of new products and the development of new distribution channels.

3/12/2012 Which period have the most  customers visited at Starbucks , JUSCO Wangsa Maju.

I reach Starbucks in JUSCO Wangsa Maju at 13:00 pm and I stay for 10 hours to complete my observation and recorded in each hour. 

 Below shown the result of the observation:

Observation

13:00 pm - About 7 customers inside. 3 people were students doing assignment. 4 people were adults and chit chat-ing.

              - 4 people were male and 3 people were female.

              - 2 people were malay and 5 people were chinese.

              - 5 people were buying large size cup of coffee and 2 people were buying medium size .

 

14:00 pm - 9 customers. 5 people were students and 4 people were adults.

              - 6 people were male and 3 people were female.

              - 2 people were maly and 7 people were chinese.

              - 7 people were buying large size and 2 people were medium size of coffee.

 

15:00 pm - Increase to 15 people customers . There had 11 students and 4 adults. 

              - 7 people were male and 8 people were female.

              - 4 people were malay and 11 people were chinese.

              - 10 people bought large size of coffee,4 people were buying medium in size and 1 people bought small in size.

 

16:00 pm - 5 people came in and customers increase to 20 people. There was 16 students and 4 adults.

              - 6 people were male and 14 people were female.

              - 4 people were malay and 16 people were chinese.

              - 16 people bought large size of coffee, 4 people bought medium size.

 

17:00 pm - Left 10 people inside.8 people were students and 2 people were adults.

              - 6 people were male and 4 people were female.

              - 2 people were malay and 8 people were chinese.

              - All of these 10 people were buying large size of coffee.

 

18:00 pm - Customers increase to 18 people, 14 people were students and 4 people were adults.

              - 14 people were male and 4 people were female.

              - 4 people were malay and 14 people were chinese.

              - All of them were buying large size of coffee.

 

19:00 pm - 11 customers. 6 people were students and 5 people were adults.

              - 4 people were male and 7 people were female.

              - 2 people were malay and 9 people were chinese. 

              - 10 people were buying large and only 1 person was buying medium size of coffee.

 

20:00 pm - 25 people of customers. 22 people were students and 3 people were adults.

              - 13 people were male and 12 people were female.

              - 6 people were malay and 19 people were chinese.

              - All of them were buying large size of coffee.

 

21:00 pm - Customers decrease to 10 people. 8 were students and adults only 2 people.

              - 6 people were male and 4 people were female.

              - 2 people were malay and 8 people were chinese.

              - All of them purchasing large size of coffee.

 

22:00 pm - Only left 2 customers. Both were students.

                - 1 was male and another was female.

                - Both are chinese.

                -  Both of them were buying large size of coffee.

 

*All customers were dine-in but no take away.

**Total 127 people of customers.

 

Chart

According to the observation, a chart to display the proportion of the group that fall into categories.

The result shows the average number of students more than the number of adults.

It also shows that 8 pm have the most customers.

This result shows most of the customers buying large size cup of coffee in Starbucks.


 

Conclusion 

* Most of the students go Starbucks to doing their assignment or doing their homeworks.

**There are male customers more than female customers enjoyed Strbucks.

*** Chinese customers are more compare to malay customers. They are more willing to enjoy the environment in Starbucks.

****Most of the customers willing to buy the large size of coffee.

 

As my conclusion, Starbucks have an enjoyable environment and most of the customers are willing come Starbucks to consume.  The price of coffee is reasonable for customers due to most of them willing  to buy the large size of coffee.

The peak hour in Starbuck is between 6pm to 8pm. 8pm having most of the customers to visit in Starbucks.

 

Thats all for my research about which period have the most customers visited in Starbucks, JUSCO Wangsa Maju.
